Systematic Reviews 101: Getting Started with Evidence Synthesis

Join us for an introductory workshop designed to demystify the process of conducting a systematic review in the health sciences. This session will cover the fundamentals of systematic reviews, including formulating a research question, developing a protocol, selecting databases, and designing a comprehensive search strategy. Participants will also learn about tools and resources available through the library to support each stage of the review process. Ideal for faculty, students, and researchers new to evidence synthesis or considering a systematic review project.

- Define the purpose and key components of a systematic review in the health sciences.
- Formulate a focused research question using frameworks such as PICO.
- Describe the steps involved in developing and registering a systematic review protocol.
