ATTENTION: Effective July 7, 2025, use of QR code and libcal for 4th and 5th floor individual study carrel keys is DISCONTINUED!
- Since implementing libcal in April 2024, individual carrels never been fully booked, meaning keys have always been available.
Going forward:
- Request a key during staffed hours with current UTHSC ID badge
- Default check-out remains 48 hours or extended to next staffed day
- Overdue fines continue to be $5.00 per hour to a maximum of $20.00
- Once $20 max is reached, you may not checkout until fine paid
- This should be a more efficient desk process, as well as provide specific details when overdue keys occur, which you can view at: https://libcat.uthsc.edu
