Writing effective multiple-choice questions (MCQ) for exams, quizzes, or practice that assess student learning can be challenging but is essential to the learning process. This workshop focuses on how faculty can implement best/effective practices for writing MCQs including aligning questions with learning objectives/outcomes, appropriately using question components, and integrating varied cognitive skills. Participants will have the opportunity to identify and practice writing effective MCQs.
