Dr. Claire Major, Professor of Higher Education and Chair of the Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Technology Studies at the University of Alabama, will speak about her new book Engaged Teaching: A Handbook for College Faculty.

This book, co-authored with Dr. Elizabeth Barkeley, guides instructors through evidence-based methods for becoming engaged teachers. Barkeley and Major argue that “effective teaching begins with engaged teaching.” In this interview-style session, Major will share practical strategies and techniques for implementing their engaged teaching model.
